Creation of an Institute for Memory Studies and Research by ULiège, ULB and the non-profit organisation MNEMA
IERM was created as a transdisciplinary structure to support, promote and federate research into the many forms of memory.
To fulfill its missions and guarantee its smooth running and direction, IERM has set up a Steering Committee made up of the two Vice-Rectors for Research of the Université de Liège and the Université libre de Bruxelles respectively, and the Chairman of MNEMA's Board of Directors, who are members by right.
It also includes the ULiège representative Philippe Raxhon, the ULB representative Jean-Philippe Schreiber, and the MNEMA Director Axelle van Harten. IERM's scientific coordinator, Veronica Granata, is also a member of the Steering Committee.
A Scientific Advisory Board participates in the Institute's scientific policy and in the major orientations concerning its missions. It also monitors the Institute's operations.
It currently comprises thirteen members from the two partner universities.
